Verna Mae Beiler, 72, of 223 Osceola Mill Road, Gordonville, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at home. She was the daughter of the late Samuel L. and Lydia K. Stoltzfus Smoker. Her husband Jesse L. Beiler died in 1999.
Verna worked as a deli clerk for Beechdale Deli at the Allentown Fairgrounds Farmers Market. She was a member of Spring Garden Amish Church, and she enjoyed gardening, travel and spending time with family and friends.
She will be lovingly missed by: seven children, Samuel Lee married to Diane M. Reynolds Beiler of New Holland, Wilma Jane married to Amos Riehl of Strasburg, Rose Marie married to Merv Nolt of Leola, John Mark married to Liz Miller Beiler of Gordonville, Kathryn Sue married to Paul Jay Stoltzfus of Lancaster, Mervin Ray married to Esther Riehl Beiler of Strasburg, Marlin Roy married to Vera Samborskaya Beiler of Newmanstown; 17 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Amos married to Rebecca Smoker of Gordonville, Ben married to Naomi Smoker of Strasburg, Dan married to Lill Smoker of Cincinnati, OH; three sisters, Rebecca married to Levi King of Gordonville, Elizabeth married to the late Leroy Blank of Ickesburg, Mary Jane married to Benjamin Riehl of Ronks; sister-in-law, Rachel Smoker of Newburg.
She was preceded in death by: a daughter, Martha Joy; great-granddaughter, Milee; brother, Mervin Smoker.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2016, 10:00 am at the Spring Garden Church, Rt. 340 & Snake Lane, Kinzers. There will be no viewing; however, the family will visit with friends at the church on Friday, March 25, 2016, 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Burial: Gordonville Cemetery. Kindly omit flowers.
