John Young, 50, died February 13, 2017 in Bardstown, KY. Born in New Brunswick, NJ, he was the son of John (Jack) and Joyce Schork Young of Lancaster. John was the husband of Tracee Young. He was a graduate of JSBC and earned a Master of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in North Carolina and was recently a student at Southern Baptist Seminary in Louisville, KY. He had also attended Mason Gross School of the Arts.
Before joining the congregation of Parkway Baptist Church, he pastored churches in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Florida, Kentucky and Indiana. Since his disability, he enjoyed writing online to educate others about reformed theology. John loved music and was an excellent clarinetist.
Besides his parents and wife, he is survived by: three children, Ryan Neill Young, Camellia (Cammie) Young and Magnolia Young, all of Bardstown, KY and a brother, Ken Young of Lancaster.
A life celebration service will be held at Furman Home for Funerals, 59 W. Main St., Leola, on Friday March 17, 2017 at 12 noon. Friends may call from 11:00 am till the time of the service at the funeral home.
