     Anna (Ana) Elizabeth Hershey, 97, of Lititz, PA passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 29, 2023, in Lancaster. God granted her wish “to move on.” She was born on November 27, 1925, to Harry and Mary (Groff) Lefever. She was the loving and supportive wife of Melvin L. Hershey who passed away on June 30, 2006.

     Anna enjoyed art in her younger and older years until her eyesight diminished. She spent many hours sewing quilts, blankets, and school kit bags. She also enjoyed a wide variety of other craft projects. Anna, along with her husband, was a longtime volunteer at Country Gift & Thrift and The Reuzit Shop.

     She is survived by six children: Irvin (Miriam Siegrist, deceased), Harrisonburg, VA, Glenn (Velma Landis), Kinzers, Jay (Carol Lefever), Jonestown, Joyce King (Lowell), Boswell, Nathan (Linda Esh), Smoketown, Ronald (Rhoda Lehman), Mechanicsburg. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, two step great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. Anna is survived by one sister, Alma Weaver, a cousin, Chris Peifer (Laverne) whom her parents raised. A daughter, Lavonne, predeceased her. Three brothers also predeceased her: Elvin, Paul, and Harry Lefever.

     A Celebration of Life service will be held at Hershey Mennonite Church, 401 Hershey Church Road, Kinzers, on Saturday, November 4 at 3:30 pm. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until time of service. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions can be given to MCC, PO Box 500, Akron, PA 17501.
