Daniel L. Esh, 88, of 42A Fieldcrest Lane, Gordonville, passed away Saturday, November 4, 2023 at his home. Born in Intercourse, he was the son of the late Aaron and Anna Mary Stoltzfus Esh. He was the husband of Rebecca S. Glick Esh. A retired farmer, Daniel operated a blade sharpening business. He was a member of the Old Order Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife are: 5 sons, John married to Fannie Beiler Esh, Aaron married to Linda Riehl Esh, both of Gordonville, Amos married to Edna Smoker Esh, Intercourse, Daniel Jr., married to Catherine King Esh, Gordonville, Steven married to Rhoda Weaver Esh, Nappanee, IN; 27 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 8 step-grandchildren; 12 step-great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, John husband of the late Mary Petersheim Esh, Ronks, Amos married to Leah King Esh, Leola, Henry married to Katie Lapp Esh, Gap; sister, Rebecca wife of the late Elam Beiler, Ronks; sister-in-law, Naomi Lapp Esh, Millerstown. He was preceded in death by: a daughter-in-law, Ruth Ann Esh; 2 step-great-grandchildren; a brother, Levi Esh.
Funeral services will be held from the Sam King residence, 38 Fieldcrest Lane, Gordonville, on Monday, November 6, 2023 at 9 am with interment following in Beiler’s Cemetery. The viewing will be at the late home from the time of this notice till the service.
