Ruth D. Groff, 102, of Landis Homes, died Wednesday, August 7, 2024. Born in Pequea Twp, she was the daughter of the late Samuel L. and Maude E (Graver) Dagen. She was the wife of the late Amos H. Groff and the late Harry M. Nolt.
Ruth was a member of Groffdale Mennonite Church & its Sunday School and sewing circle. She was also a former member of Byerland Mennonite Church. Ruth was a dental assistant in her early career and then completed training to be an LPN. She worked at Lancaster General Hospital in the newborn nursery. She enjoyed reading, gardening, sewing, traveling, family work days and volunteering at Landis Homes.
Surviving are: her sister-in-law, Nancy Dagen, 9 nieces and nephews, and 7 step-children. She was preceded in death by sisters Cora, Anna, & Mary and brother, Samuel.
There will be a private graveside service at a later date.
