Janice M. “Punky” Hagenberger, 62, of Leola, lost her battle with cancer on Friday, August 23, 2024. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of C. James Hanna of Leola and the late Elsie M. Nolt Hanna. She was the long-time companion of Jody L. Ebersole, who was a constant source of support and love.

Janice had a long-standing career in customer service at Keystone Wood Products, Meridian Products, and Lancaster Laboratories, where her dedication and positive attitude made her a valued team member. She took pride in her flower gardens, decorating with American folk art and antiques, and creating a warm, beautiful home.

Punky cherished her furry companions and was known for her love and care for her pets.

She is survived by siblings Deb (Barney) Fitzwater, James Corey Hanna, and Kirby (Nicole) Hanna; brother-in-law Kenneth Fetterhoff; and nieces and nephews Katelyn Hanna, Gregory (Kendel) Fitzwater, Kameron Hanna, Corey Hanna, Sydney (Zack) Ringler, and Preston Fetterhoff. She was preceded in death by her mother and her sister, Tonya Renee Fetterhoff.

A Celebration of Life will take place at Groffdale Mennonite Church, 168 N. Groffdale Rd., Leola on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2024 at 2 p.m.  A meal will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Disabled American Veterans in her honor.

Janice will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
