Lena H. Oberholtzer, 81, of 202 E. Eby Rd, Leola, entered into rest Saturday, November 16, 2024 at her residence. Born in West Earl Twp., she was the daughter of the late Isaac B. and Anna S. (Hurst) Zimmerman. She was the wife of Noah L. Oberholtzer, Jr., with whom she shared nearly 59 years of marriage. She was a farmer’s wife and homemaker; a member of the Groffdale Conference Mennonite Church, at Groffdale.
She is also survived by: four sons, Warren Z. husband of Marian J. (Eberly) Oberholtzer of Woodbury, PA, Earl Z. husband of Eva N. (Weaver) Oberholtzer, Glenn Z. and Nelson Z. Oberholtzer, all of Leola, PA; one daughter, Arlene Z. wife of Curvin H. Brubaker of Thorp, WI; a son-in-law, Arnold H. (Alta) Martin, Himrod, NY; 27 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Esther H. wife of Ivan S. Martin, Shippensburg, PA, Annie H. wife of Lester W. Burkholder, Emma H. wife of Jerre W. Martin, both of Ephrata, PA; a sister-in-law, Esther W. (Nolt) Zimmerman, Leola, PA. She was preceded in death by: a daughter, Irene Z. late wife of Arnold H. Martin; two brothers, Harvey H. Zimmerman and Joseph H. Zimmerman; a sister-in-law, Ella E. (Reiff) Zimmerman.
Relatives, friends and neighbors are respectfully invited to attend the funeral services on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 9:30 AM at Groffdale (Frame) Mennonite Church, 90 Groffdale Church Rd., Leola, PA. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Viewing will be held at the late home on Friday, November 22, 2024, 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
