Louis R. Santoro, 84, of Leola, formerly of Staten Island, NY, passed away on January 16, 2025 at his residence. Born in Brooklyn, NY he was the son of the late Robert and Minnie Curto Santoro. He was married to Barbara Barbiero Santoro for 53 years. Louis enjoyed country music, was an Army veteran and a vending machine mechanic for Coca-Cola. First and foremost, though, he was a very kind, generous, loving man who cared deeply about his family and fellow neighbor and he was always quick with a joke.
He is also survived by: children, Louis J. Santoro, Brian J. Santoro, Joseph R. Santoro, Margaret E. Santoro, William C Santoro all of Leola; sister Maryann Santoro of Brooklyn, NY; sister-in-law Franca Santoro. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Santoro.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 601 E. Delp Rd, Lancaster, on Friday, January 24, 2025 at 11am. Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing at Furman Home for Funerals, 59 W. Main St., Leola, PA from 6 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, January 23, 2025 and Friday 10-11:00 am at the church. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
