David Ross Fackler, 66, of Ephrata, passed away on March 6, 2025, surrounded by loving family. He was born in Hershey, PA to the late C. Robert and Jeanne B. (Gantz) Fackler and was the beloved husband of Sylvia J. (Johnson) Fackler with whom he shared 39 years of marriage in February.
Shortly after graduating from Conestoga Valley High School’s class of 1976, David began working at CNH as a draftsman in the Engineering building and holding numerous jobs during his 42 1/2 years of service. He took pride in his hard work both in the office and at home.
He built lasting friendships over the years. He was known for his kindness, positive attitude, sense of humor, and love for all. He found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved listening to music, playing pool, crafts and puzzles, car rides in his “red car”, spending time outdoors, and birdwatching. He treasured his fishing trips to Canada with friends and his vacations to Arizona over the years.
In addition to his wife, Sylvia, he is survived by his 3 daughters: Danielle wife of Keith Harber of Fort Wayne, Heather fiancé of Robert Ekis of Lititz, and Alanna wife of Derek Baker of Ephrata, and step-son: Shane Groff of Wardsboro and grandchildren: Bentley, Kendyll, Carson, Aidan, Ariel, Mason, and Camryn, and siblings: Robert L. husband of Claudia, and Crystal Bausher. He was preceded in death by his parents, C. Robert and Jeanne B. Fackler, and his brother Michael G. Fackler.
In his memoir, David reflected that the key to a happy, successful life is to find love in your heart. At the convenience of the family, graveside service and interment will take place at Trumbauer Memorial Cemetery in Leola.
