Daniel K. King, 82, of 402 Glenbrook Road, Leola, died on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at home after a short illness. Mr. King was a member of the Old Order Amish Church, and was a retired farmer. Born in Bird-in-Hand, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Sadie King King. He was the husband of Annie E. Stoltzfus King. They were married on Oct. 29, 1953.
Surviving in addition to his wife are five sons: Eli married to Mary Petersheim King, Ephrata, Ben married to Barbie King King, Leola, Daniel married to Fannie Petersheim King, Lititz, Melvin married to Dorothy Stoltzfus King, with whom he resided, Stevie married to Susie Kauffman King, Honey Brook; a daughter, Sadie married to John King, Leola; son-in-law, Amos married to Anna Stoltzfus Glick, Quarryville; 53 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; 87 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Christ married to Barbie King, Leola, Ben married to Becky King, Bird-in-Hand, Elam married to Rachel King, Jacob married to the late Rebecca King, both Strasburg, David married to Annie King, Lititz, Jonas married to Susie King, Quarryville, Mary married to the late Daniel Stoltzfus, Lancaster, Lydia married to Daniel Lapp, Strasburg, Mary married to the late Abram King, Lancaster, Rachel married to the late Amos King, Smoketown. He was preceded in death by: a son, David; a daughter, Lavina Glick; two grandsons; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Abram and Amos.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. EST, Tuesday, Apr. 14, 2015 at the late home. Viewing: at the late home from the time of this notice till the service. Interment: Upper Millcreek Cemetery. Kindly omit flowers.
