Christ K. King, 87, of 93 Center Square Rd., Leola, died Thursday, May 7, 2015 at his home. Born in Bird-in-Hand, he was the son of the late Benjamin L. and Sadie King King. He was the husband of Barbara Fisher King. He was a retired farmer and self employed carpenter, and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by twelve children: Sadie E. wife of Benuel Stoltzfoos, Gordonville, Elam F. husband of Emma Lapp King, Gap, Benuel F. husband of Elizabeth Stoltzfus King, Kinzers, Christ S. husband of Anna Stoltzfus King, Leola, Daniel F. husband of Rebecca Stoltzfoos King, Gordonville, Amos F. husband of Emma Petersheim King, Kinzers, Mary F. Smucker, Narvon, Stephen F. husband of Anna Smoker King, Greens Fork, IN, Rachel F. wife of Levi M. Beiler, Bird-in-Hand, Barbara F. wife of Benuel Petersheim, Ronks, Sarah F. wife of Samuel E. Fisher, Gordonville, Jonas F. husband of Linda Smoker King, New Holland; 99 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brothers and sisters, Benuel husband of Becky King, Bird-in-Hand, Mary Stoltzfus, Lancaster, Elam husband of Rachel King, Ronks, Lydia wife of Daniel Lapp, Lancaster, Jacob King, Lancaster, David husband of Annie King, Lititz, Jonas husband of Susie King, Quarryville; sisters-in-law, Mary, Rachel and Annie King.
He was preceded in death by: two sons-in-law, Emanuel S. Glick and Eli S. Smucker; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; three brothers, Abram, Amos and Daniel; one sister, Malinda.
The funeral will be Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 9AM EST from the late home with interment following in Upper Millcreek Cemetery. Friends may call at the late home from the time of this notice till the service. Kindly omit flowers.
