Anna Lois Wenger, 84, of Ephrata, passed on to her eternal reward surrounded by her husband and three children on Tuesday, June 11, 2024. Born in Lititz, she was the daughter of the late Menno Z. and Anna Elizabeth Myers Shelly. She was married to Earl D. Wenger for 64 years. Lois was a server/cashier at Manheim Auto Auction, a tour guide at the Mennonite Information Center and a member of Cornerstone Mennonite Fellowship.
Besides her husband, she is survived by: children, Sheryl J. wife of Paul Lamar Hess of Drumore, Linda A. wife of Carl Lynch III of Charlottesville, VA, Gerald L. husband of Kristine Hess Wenger of Lewistown; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren (a great-grandchild due in June); siblings, Ethel Shelly of Manheim, Ruth Ann Charles of Marietta, Jay (Linda) Shelly of Montana, Robert (Elmeta) Shelly of Manheim, Glenn (Ruth) Shelly of Lititz, Doris (Barry) Zimmerman of Missouri, Dolores (Todd) Potocnik of Wisconsin and 11 step-siblings.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 17, 2024 at 11:30 am at Groffdale (Brick) Mennonite Church, 168 N. Groffdale Road, Leola, PA. Family will greet friends and family after the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Mennonite Central Committee, 21 S. 12th Street, Akron, PA 17501. Interment will be private in adjoining cemetery.
