Anna Mae McCardell, 80, of Leola, went to meet her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, June 2, 2018. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Harry John Hess Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Steely Hess. She was the loving wife of James E. McCardell for 57 years.
Mrs. McCardell retired after 25 years from QVC as a shipping clerk. Prior to that, she had worked for K.D. Tools, Lancaster. A member of the Worship Center, she loved serving her family; cooking; puzzles and word games. She was an avid country music fan and enjoyed square dancing.
She will be lovingly missed by: her husband; two sons, James P. husband of Wendy Weik McCardell, Leola, Kevin D. husband of Kimberly Stabinski McCardell, Lititz; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; siblings, Harry J. Hess, Margaret “Peg" Gochenaur, Joyce A. Yost, Carol Stoe. A daughter, Marilyn Stoltzfus; a granddaughter, Hilary Stoltzfus; and a twin sister, Mary Jane Good preceded her in death.
