Claude Lester Sweigart, 92, of Luther Acres, Lititz, formerly of Wilkes Rd., Lancaster went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2015. Born in Bareville, he was the son of the late Amos and Susanna Grace Jacoby Sweigart. He was the loving husband of the late Elizabeth I. Kochel Sweigart who died in 2012.
He is survived by: one son, Jon Lee Sweigart and wife Lauren, Fredericksburg, VA; three grandchildren, Christopher Sweigart (wife Rachel), Marc Sweigart (wife Deb), Melanie Lucord; four great-grandchildren, Luke, Cathryn, Aria and Aspen. He was preceded in death by a brother, Lealand Sweigart.
Claude loved his church, Zion Lutheran in Leola, golf and telling bad jokes. He was a Mason, Shriner and a member of the Ephrata Elks. A U.S. Army Veteran of WWII, he received a European African Middle Eastern Service Medal with 4 Bronze Battle Stars.

Funeral: Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel at Luther Acres, 400 St. Luke Drive, Lititz, PA. Greeting time: from noon to 1:00 PM. Interment: Trumbauer Memorial Cemetery.
