Dolores “Doll" Yunginger Schaich, 86, died Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at her residence in New Holland. Born in Leola, she was the daughter of the late Melvin Lester and Ella Keith Yunginger. Dolores was the widow of the late William A. Schaich. She was an Executive Secretary at Armstrong World Industries for four Vice Presidents and owned Assisted Living Homes across PA caring for indigent persons with mental and physical disabilities.
She is survived by her daughter, Lorin S. wife of Antoni M. Wortel, of Lancaster, and granddaughter, Miranda L. wife of Nickolis J. Wagner. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Marc A. Wortel; a sister, Patricia Rodgers and brothers, Lester Martin and Melvin L. Yunginger, Jr.
Doll loved traveling with friends and family to Grand Cayman and Costa Rica. She made friends where ever she went. She was a savvy business woman; beautiful both inside and out, treating all with respect and a smile.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at 11:00 am at Salem Evangelical Reformed Church, Hellers, 2555 Horseshoe Rd., Lancaster, PA. Friends may call on June 12 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the church. Interment will be in Salem Hellers Cemetery. In lieu of Flowers donations can be sent to her beloved Salem Evangelical Reformed Church, for the Roof Fund.
