Donald H. Pentz, 69, of Lancaster, died of natural causes Thursday, June 27, 2024 after a brief illness. Born in Frackville, he was the son of the late Hayes and Elizabeth Sensenig Pentz. He was the loving husband of Janell Stockdale Pentz with whom he celebrated 32 years of marriage last August.
A 1972 Conestoga Valley and 1976 Millersville University graduate, he taught at Elizabethtown School District; later was a tour guide at the Amish Farm and House. He was a member of the Highland Presbyterian Church; was a leader of the Scout Explorer Post 1863 which focused on the Civil War Period; was a poll watcher at elections; loved to travel to foreign countries and throughout the United States. Don loved informing people of the life-style of the Amish and meeting people from all over the world.
He will be lovingly missed by: his wife, Janell Stockdale Pentz; step-daughter, Jessica Plantz, Lancaster; step-granddaughters, twins Avery and Isabella; father-in-law, Wendell Stockdale of Willow Street; cousin, Diane married to Richard Caswell, Narvon. He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Jane Stockdale.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 11 am from Highland Presbyterian Church, 500 E. Roseville Road, Lancaster.
