Gary W. Martin went Home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2024, at the age of 69. He was born in Lancaster, PA, to (the late) Raymond and Norma Martin. He grew up in Mt. Joy, along with his brother Dwight, and sister Suzanne (Husband John Daveler).
Gary and his wife, Sue, recently celebrated 50 years of marriage. They raised 4 wonderful sons: David, Jonathan, Josiah and Joe. He loved his daughters-in-law, Jessica and Maria.
Though Gary accomplished many admirable things during his life, he was most appreciative of the strong, capable, and caring men that each of his sons became.
He was also very proud of each of his grandchildren: Zach, Hannah, Elise’, Ethan, Jazzy, Kal, Belle, and Linc. They were his pride and joy. He loved them very deeply.
Gary was a very skilled & professional woodworker for over 25 years. Much of his work was delivered to businesses in New York City, including the World Trade Center.
During the last 2 decades, he worked a self-run business for the residents of Pennsylvania. But for Gary, this was not considered a job. He loved what he did and it was his passion to help people feel better.
Gary had many, many friends. He will be sadly missed by his family and the community at large.

Funeral services will be held from the Furman Home for Funerals, 59 W. Main St., Leola, on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at 12 noon with interment following in Eby Cemetery.
