Glenn S. Conklin, 92, longtime resident of Lancaster County, died Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Moravian Manor in Lititz. The son of Kenneth and Minnie Swartwood Conklin of Luzerne County, Glenn was a 1942 graduate of West Pittston High School. After serving four years in the U.S. Navy, Glenn met his lifelong sweetheart, Ruth Woodring of Forty Fort, PA. They married in 1951.
Glenn spent his entire career in the construction equipment industry. He was with State Equipment Co. for 41 years at locations throughout Pennsylvania eventually retiring in 1991 in Lancaster. He was an avid golfer, Penn State/Steelers fan and super grandfather.
Glenn will be lovingly missed by his wife of nearly 67 years; four children, David of Cincinnati, Gail Hauck (Michael) of Lancaster, Cheryl Snyder (Roger) of Elizabethtown, Jeff Conklin of Manheim; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two brothers and one sister. He was preceded in death by six siblings.
The funeral service will be held at Furman Home for Funerals, 59 W. Main St., Leola on Monday, July 16, 2018 at 11 a.m. with viewing from 10-11 a.m. Interment: Conestoga Memorial Park.
