Grace Elizabeth Myer, 90, formerly of Gap, passed away Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Zerbe Sisters Nursing Center. Born in New Holland, she was the daughter of the late Aaron and Emma Nonnemacher Myer.
Grace will be remembered as a loving and caring mother. She enjoyed travel, especially to the beach and Mt. Rainer. She was a member of Intercourse United Methodist Church where she was involved in many activities over the years.
She is survived by: 5 children, Virginia Hoover partner of Peg Denithorne, Lancaster, Phyllis married to Barry Clark, Dwight Hoover, both of Gap, H. Nathanael Hoover married to Catherine Sager, York, Ernest Hoover married to Jona Bandyopadhyay, Nashville, TN; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Junior, Melvin, Walter, Nevin, Parke Myer, Blanche White, Dolly Lapp.
A celebration of Grace’s life will take place on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 11 am at Keystone Church, 6 Pequea Dr., Paradise. The family will greet friends from 10 to 11 am at the church. Everyone is encouraged to wear their favorite hat as part of her celebration. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
