Henry W. Esbenshade, 72, of Lancaster, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, March 2, 2015. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Henry L. and Edith Wanner Esbenshade. He was the loving husband of Lucille Siegler Esbenshade. They celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary in February. Henry loved to go hunting with his friends, spending time with his family and friends in the mountains and enjoyed his Monday night bowling league. He enjoyed fishing with his daughters and friends and shooting pool at the Riverside Camping Association, which he was a member for 27 years. He was also a member of the Lancaster Elks Club for 46 years.
Besides his wife he is survived by: five daughters, Michele L. wife of David A. Sterling, Stacy L. wife of Matthew A. Armstrong, Katrina D. wife of James G. Eves, Heather A. wife of J. Kevin Moore, Angela M. Esbenshade; nine grandchildren; a great-grandchild and a sister, Nancy wife of David Childs.
The funeral will be Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Salem Evangelical Reformed Church, Heller's, 2555 Horseshoe Rd., Lancaster. Friends may call 10-11:00 AM on Saturday at the church.
