     John S. “Buckeye” Fisher, 75, of Leola, entered into rest on Thursday, April 30, 2015. He was the loving husband of Debra J. Ressler Fisher for 33 years.  Born in Bird-in-Hand, he was the son of the late Levi J. and Mary B. Stoltzfus Fisher.

      He was the owner of Buckeye Line Painting, Inc. for many years. John attended Calvary Church.  He was a past president of the Intercourse Softball League and enjoyed hunting and the outdoors.

     In addition to his wife he is survived by:  three children, Lt. Matthew Fisher, serving with the U.S. Navy, Mandi Fisher, Virginia,  John Fisher, Washington, D.C.; brothers and sisters, Elmer husband of Katie, Levi husband of Naomi, both of Bird-in-Hand, David husband of Sylvia, New Holland, Daniel husband of Fannie of Bird-in-Hand, Samuel, Sarasota, FL, Susie wife of John Fisher, Paradise, Emanuel husband of Ruth, Gordonville, Amos husband of Lydia, Paradise, Emma wife of Aaron Stoltzfus, Manheim, Reuben Fisher, Bird-in-Hand, Melvin husband of Rachel Ann, Ida wife of Eli Lapp, both of Gordonville; a sister-in-law, Ruth Fisher, New Holland

     He was preceded in death by:  a brother, Michael Fisher; a sister-in-law, Anna Mary Fisher.

     Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at 10:00 AM from Calvary Church, 1051 Landis Valley Road, Lancaster, PA 17601 with interment following in Eby Cemetery, Leola.  Friends may call on Monday, May 4, 2015 from 4-8 PM at Furman Home for Funerals, 59 W. Main Street, Leola and also from 9-10 AM on Tuesday at Calvary Church. Kindly omit flowers.
