Kathryn A. (Arnold) Shultz, age 98, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, June 29, 2024, surrounded by family. Born August 13, 1925, Kathryn was the wife of the late Adrian D. Shultz and is survived by their 4 daughters, Karen A. Bender (Joseph), Judith M. Barley (Richard), Susan L. Moore (Norman), and Leslie K. Shultz, 5 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and great-great grandson.
Kathryn will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, friend, coworker, and neighbor. She retired at age 61 from Sperry New Holland and continued working in retirement. She was employed by Royer’s Pharmacy for 10 years all while running the Lancaster Press Credit Union until the age of 90. She had a sharp mind, a quick wit, and was a proud widow of a Navy veteran. Kathryn and Adrian were avid bowlers, loved to travel, camp, and cheer on their grandchildren and great-grandchildren at school activities. She is happily reunited with the love of her life and will watch over their family and friends.
Celebration of life services will be held on Friday, July 5, 2024, officiated by Pastor Bob Garvey at Wesley United Methodist Church, 40 W. Main Street, Strasburg. Visitation from 10-11am with a service following at 11am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Kathryn’s memory to Wesley United Methodist Church.
