Katie K. King, 92, of 38A S. Belmont Rd., Paradise, passed away on Friday, July 7, 2017 at home. Born in Leola, she was the daughter of the late John S. and Leah (King) Lapp. Mrs. King was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church. Her husband, Christ S. King, died in 1971.
Mrs. King is survived by: three sons, John married to Katie Beiler King of Paradise, Emanuel married to Mary Beiler King of Leola, Abner married to Suzanne Stoltzfus King of New Holland; six daughters, Rebecca married to Jonas King of Lykens, Leah married to Benuel Smucker of Gap, Barbara married to Jacob Glick of Lancaster, Rachel married to John B. Stoltzfus Jr. of Ronks, Katie married to Benuel S. Glick of Paradise, Sadie married to Levi A. Esh Jr. of Ronks; 46 grandchildren; 117 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; 54 step-great-grandchildren; one step-great-great-grandchild; four brothers, John married to the late Malinda Lapp of Gordonville, Samuel married to Sarah Lapp of Leola, Ben married to Verna Lapp of Narvon, Christ married to Anna Mary Lapp of Paradise; three sisters, Rebecca married to the late Isaac Petersheim of Loysville, Rachel married to Emanuel Allgyer of Gap, Leah married to John Beiler of Narvon.
She was preceded in death by: a son, Christ S. King Jr.; a son-in-law, Aaron J. Speicher; two grandchildren, Ervin Smucker and Lena Fern Esh; siblings, Annie Beiler, Amos and Aaron Lapp.
Funeral services: 9 a.m. EST, Monday, July 10, 2017 at the late home with viewing there till the service. Burial will take place in the Gordonville Cemetery.
