Kimberly S. Kreider, 64, passed away on January 16, 2025 in the arms of her husband, Brett, at their home in Brownstown after a courageous two year battle with cancer. Kim was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Patricia Cornette, and was born in Cambridge, Ohio.
Kim graduated from Conestoga Valley High School in 1978 where she was a cheerleader and homecoming queen. She helped plan and organize class reunions after graduation. Kim graduated from the former Empire Beauty School and spent many years as a hair stylist and manager at the former Hair Express in Ephrata. She touched many children’s lives as a playground aide and office assistant for several years at Fritz Elementary School. Kim was outgoing and fun loving. She was an avid Phillies fan and loved watching the games with Brett and her family. Kim loved music, played the piano, and had a beautiful singing voice which she used in the church choir at Salem Evangelical Reformed Church, Heller’s.
Kim is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 44 years, Brett Kreider; two children, Amber Wingenroth, married to Craig Wingenroth, and Jared Kreider. Kim was the proud and loving Mimi to Wyatt and Lincoln Wingenroth, who brought her endless joy. She is survived by two sisters: Debbie Creamer and Susan Nonnenmocher, as well as a niece and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. She will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Salem Evangelical Reformed Church, Heller’s, 2555 Horseshoe Road, Lancaster. The family will greet friends from 10:00 until 11:00. A luncheon will be served at the church after the service.
