Lydiann B. King, age 48 of Lititz, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, after a courageous 14-month battle with cancer. Born in Gordonville, PA she is the daughter of Daniel S. Zook and the late Malinda S. Zook.
She was an avid gardener with a passion for flower growing and arrangements. She had a gift for hospitality and serving others in her home. While doing treatment at the Envita clinic she painted a rock with Psalm 118:5, “I called on the Lord in distress, the Lord answered me and set me in a broad place.” During her journey of illness Chris & Lydiann prayed Jeremiah 29:11 frequently. “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”
Lydiann is survived by her husband Christian M. King, and their 8 children. Mary Beth, Miriam Faith wife of Nathaniel Barker of Lancaster, Ira David, James Daniel, Susanne Linda, Eli Mark, Malachi Thomas, Jethero Emanuel. She is also survived by her father Daniel S. Zook and her siblings, Lillian wife of B. John Beiler of Leola, Abram husband of Linda M. Zook of Gordonville, Susanne wife of Moses B. King of Rebuck, Salome wife of Elmer Petersheim of Manheim, Ira husband of Katie Ann Zook of Landisburg, Anna Mary wife of David Zook of Farmville, Virginia, Sister-in-law, Sarah married to Sam Glick of Pequea.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Malinda S. Zook and brothers David N. Zook and Emanuel L. Zook.
Funeral service will take place at Charity Christian Fellowship, 59 S. Groffdale Road, Leola, PA on Monday, January 27th at 10 a.m., with interment to follow in the adjoining cemetery. There will be a viewing on Sunday, January 26th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the church. For those unable to view on Sunday there will be a viewing at 9 a.m. on Monday before the funeral.
