Mildred B. Stoltzfus, 82, of Landis Homes, formerly of Hollsopple, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 28, 2016 unexpectedly after a brief illness. Born in Paradise, she was the daughter of the late Isaac M. and Fannie Kauffman Smoker. She was the loving wife of Menno K. “Shorty" Stoltzfus. They were married 60 years last August.
Mrs. Stoltzfus was a member of the East Petersburg Mennonite Church and loved doing quilt patches and seamstress work. A caring person, she loved serving others.
She will also be lovingly missed by her children: Marian Louise Stoltzfus, Friendship Community, Milton married to Lois Brubaker Stoltzfus, Ephrata; a brother, Reuben married to Esther Smoker, Gordonville. Preceding her in death were: daughter, Marcia Sue Stoltzfus; brothers, David, Leroy, Sylvanus and Elmer Smoker; a sister, Naomi Stoltzfus.
Funeral Services: Tuesday, Aug. 2nd, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Landis Homes West Bethany Chapel, 1001 E. Oregon Rd., Lititz. Viewings: Monday, 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. & 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Also, 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday all at Landis Homes West Bethany Chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions are welcomed to: Friendship Community, 1149 E. Oregon Rd., Lititz, PA 17543. Burial: 3 p.m. Tuesday, Maple Grove Mennonite Cemetery, Atglen, PA.
