Mildred Pearson, 96, of Lititz, went to be with her Savior on April 9th. She was the wife of the late Fred Pearson, who predeceased her in 2001. Millie was known for her bright smile and her love for people because of God’s love shining through her.
Surviving is a son, David Pearson, husband of Sandra, Lancaster, and a daughter, Debra Ferguson, wife of Larry, Lancaster; five grandchildren: David Ferguson (husband of Melissa), Jonathan Ferguson, Joshua Ferguson (husband of Jennifer), Ashley Frank (wife of Alex), and Samantha Pearson; and two great-grandsons: Aaron Ferguson, and Baby Boy Frank (on the way). She is also survived by many cherished nieces and nephews. Millie was predeceased by five brothers: Norman, Carl, Donald, Clyde, and Samuel Snader. She was devoted to her family and will be dearly missed.
Millie was born in Manheim in 1928 to the late Earl and Elva Snader and graduated from Manheim (Central) High School. After attending Philadelphia School of the Bible, she met her husband, Fred, at Children’s Bible Mission in TN and they were married in 1953. Throughout their married lives, they were involved in various forms of Christian ministry. For about 25 years, Millie worked at Lancaster Bible College and impacted the lives of many students. She also was a member of Calvary Church for more than 75 years.
Millie had a joyful presence and enjoyed her Pomeranian dogs, traveling, and spending time at the beach. She loved the nurses and staff who cared for her during her final years at Landis Homes.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Millie’s memorial service at Calvary Church, 1051 Landis Valley Rd, Lancaster on April 14, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation time beginning at 10:00 a.m.
