Pamela Berry, 77, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at Kadima at Campbelltown where she had been a resident one week shy of 4 years. Pam would have celebrated her 78th birthday December 17th. Pam was born in Ridley Park, PA to the late Nicholas and Janet Mitrovic. Before moving to Kadima, Pam was a resident of Leola, PA.
Pam is survived by her children, James Wilson Sr. and his wife Sandy of Narvon, PA, Christine Hoover and her partner Leo McNulty of Aurora, CO and Donna Chopp and her husband Timothy of Leola, PA; 8 grandchildren: Joshua, Rebecca, Jackie, Jimmy, Luie, Danielle, Nathan and Jared; 11 great-grandchildren: Kyleigh, Reagan, Zachary, Kearney, Kendall, Tanamera, Harold, Delia, Taylor, Temperance and Carter; a sister, Nikki Hanling and her husband Ron of West Chester; nieces and nephews: Debi, Scott, Jen and Kyle and their families. She was preceded in death by her sister, Pat Daniels and a great-grandson, Clifford Grove III.
Pam graduated from the CAT Brandywine School of Nursing in Coatesville, PA with a degree in nursing. She worked and retired from Tel Hai Retirement Community of Honey Brook. Pam lived numerous places across the United Stated but was most excited to move to Lancaster County and make her home in Leola.
Pam and her sisters were dubbed the “Gabba Girls”. They would sit gabbing, laughing and telling stories for hours. They had matching hats and shirts for their get-togethers! Gabba 1 (Pat) and Gabba 2 (Pam) are now reunited while Gabba 3 (Nikki) looks after the family. Our mom is now resting peacefully, healed and whole, and is no doubt laughing and gabbing with her friends and family who have gone home before her.
We would like to sincerely thank the staff from Kadima at Campbelltown and Amedisys Hospice for their loving care and attention they provided our mom. We appreciate you and the work you do.
The Memorial Service will take place at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2024 at the Furman Home for Funerals, 59 W. Main St., Leola. The family will greet friends from Noon – 1 p.m.
