Rachel E. Smucker, 74, of 49C N. Harvest Rd., Bird-in-Hand, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at Ephrata Community Hospital. Born in Christiana, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Sarah Esh Kauffman. She was the wife of Aquilla E. Smucker. A homemaker, Rachel was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by: 7 children, Benjamin married to Rebecca Miller Smucker, Dillwyn, VA, Amos married to Elizabeth King Smucker, Bird-in-Hand, Samuel married to Nancy Stoltzfus Smucker, Sadie married to Mervin King, both of Gap, David married to Anna Smucker Smucker, Bird-in-Hand, Mary married to Stephen Stoltzfus, Oxford, Rachel married to Levi Beiler, Lancaster; 62 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are: siblings, Jacob married to Fannie Stoltzfus Kauffman, Drumore, Barbara married to Abner Glick, Sadie married to Benjamin Glick, Lizzie married to Jacob Blank, all of Quarryville, Rebecca married to David Blank, Oxford, Mary Smucker, Christiana, Katie married to Ephraim Beiler, Bird-in-Hand, Malinda married to Daniel Stoltzfus, John married to Mary Stoltzfus Kauffman, both of Christiana, Susie married to Samuel Blank, Narvon; sister-in-law, Emma Kauffman. She was preceded in death by: 3 daughters, Sarah, Barbie, and Katie Smucker; a son, Aquilla Smucker, Jr.; a brother, Benjamin Kauffman.
Funeral services will be from the late home on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at 11 am EST with interment following in Gordonville Cemetery. The viewing will be at the late home from the time of this notice till the service.
