Ralph E. Weaver, 93, of Fairmount Homes, formerly of Lancaster, passed away Aug. 23, 2024. Born in E. Lampeter Twp., he was the son of the late Harvey and Ella (Lefever) Weaver. He was married to Carolyn W. (Leaman) Weaver for 71 years on Aug. 8, 2024.
Ralph was a 1949 graduate of Lancaster Mennonite School. He was a self-employed florist. In retirement years, he enjoyed repairing wheelchairs, walkers and crutches; many of which were sent abroad. A member of Mellinger Mennonite Church, he also volunteered at the MCC Material Resources Ctr. Ephrata.
Surviving besides his wife are: four sons and two daughters, Jay (Joyce) Weaver, Lancaster, Sharon (Kevin) Hostetter, Marlin (Lesetta) Weaver, both Lititz, Mark Weaver, Lancaster, Ken (Linda) Weaver, Inola, OK, Carol (David) Fedorshak, Ephrata; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; siblings, Ruth (Dan) Stoltzfus, Sarasota, FL, Irvin (Dorothy) Weaver, New Holland. He was preceded in death by: a great-grandson, Luke Weaver; siblings, Melvin, J. Clyde and Arlene Weaver.
The Celebration of Life Service will take place on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Mellinger Mennonite Church, 1916 Lincoln Hwy E, Lancaster. The family will greet friends one hour before the service. Private Interment: Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.
