Rebecca Bawell, 94, of 166 Butter Rd., Leola, died Monday, May 8, 2017 at Hospice and Community Care, Mt. Joy. Born in Leacock Township, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Emma Fisher Lapp. She was the wife of the late Amos Bawell who died in 1981. She was a homemaker and a member of the Spring Garden Church.
Mrs. Bawell is survived by: children, Jesse husband of Katie Zook Bawell of Fannettsburg, PA, Naomi Witmer of Akron, Daniel husband of Dawn Cain Bawell of Manheim, Ruth wife of John Smucker of Weyers Cave, VA, Edna wife of David Stoltzfus of Lancaster, Emma wife of Amos Stoltzfus of Leola, Amos Jr. husband of Ida Fisher Bawell of McGaheysville, VA, David Walstrum of Missouri , Ronnie husband of Marie Bawell of Leola, Connie wife of Elam Riehl of Narvon, Cathy wife of Shaun McQuate of Leola; 44 grandchildren; 117 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Lydia Fisher of Farmville, VA.
She was preceded in death by a son, Chippy Bawell.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Spring Garden Church, 5197 Old Philadelphia Pike, Kinzers, PA. Friends may call Tuesday, May 9, 2017 from 2-4:00 PM and 6-8:00 PM at the church. Interment will be in Stoltzfus Cemetery.
