Rebecca E. Petersheim, 81, of 803 Vintage Rd. Christiana, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2015 at Lancaster General Hospital from natural causes. Born in Gordonville, she was the daughter of the late Amos and Lydia Esch Lapp. She was the wife of Melvin R. Petersheim. A homemaker, she was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Surviving in addition to her husband are: eight children, Enos husband of Annie King Petersheim, Paradise, Amos husband of Priscilla Stoltzfus Petersheim, Gordonville, Reuben husband of Fanny Miller Petersheim, Christiana, Melvin Jr., husband of Sylvia Stoltzfus Petersheim, Christiana, Sylvia wife of Christ Ebersol, Ronks, Sadie wife of Samuel Fisher, Fountain City, IN, Lydia wife of Elmer Stoltzfus, Paradise, Omer husband of Sarah Stoltzfus Petersheim, Quarryville; 50 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; siblings, Elam and Rachel Lapp, Rebecca and Benuel King, John and Lydia Lapp, Sylvia E. Lapp, Aaron and Mattie Lapp, Anna and Isaac King. She was preceded in death by: 3 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary King; 3 brothers, Jacob, Melvin, and Amos Lapp.
Funeral services will be held from the Jacob Beiler Residence 814 Vintage Rd. Christiana, on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at 9 a.m. EST with interment following in Bart Cemetery, Georgetown.
