Robert William Schriek, 92, of New Holland, PA died peacefully in his home on March 17, 2021. He was born in Newark, NJ to William Schriek and Anna Bruni. Robert was a jack of all trades which led him to owning many businesses and working on many construction projects in his lifetime. He owned Econo Car Rental in Bellville, NJ for many years. He retired at the age of 75 from his Hotel venture in Rutland, Vermont and returned to the home he built in Forked River, New Jersey. He and his wife Marita moved to Pennsylvania in 2019 to share a home with their eldest granddaughter and her family. He enjoyed relaxing on his patio taking in the Dutch country scenery with his favorite dogs Tulip and Trigger by his side.
He leaves behind his wife of 41 years Marita May Schriek; children, Robert Schriek, Robin Tenuto; step-children, Peter Haenchen, Monica Latona, Silvia Haenchen; siblings, William Schriek, Betty Adelman; 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents William and Anna Schriek, siblings, Walter Schriek and Dorothy Kowalski, and first wife Marion Taggart.
The funeral will be private with interment in Fairmount Cemetery, Newark, NJ.
