Roberta “Robin” K. Shearn, devoted mother, grandmother, nature lover, and friend passed away on Sept. 3, 2023. Her passing was as she wanted, peacefully at home, surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
Robin devoted her life to caring for others and particularly loved caring for children, spending years in day care ensuring that the babies and toddlers in her classrooms were safe and loved.
Creative and resourceful, she loved gardening, baking, and sewing and shared her talents with friends and community groups. She knew that change happens through small, daily, personal acts, so she fed the birds, grew milkweed for the Monarchs, worked her coffee grounds into her flower beds, hemmed innumerable pairs of pants, and was kind to everyone she met.
Robin is survived by her 4 children, 8 grandchildren, brother, and 2 sisters.
A celebration of Robin’s life will be held at The Gathering Place, 6 Pine St., Mt. Joy, PA from 12:00-4:00 on November 18, 2023.
