Sidney R. Sheaffer, 84, of Gordonville, formerly of Lancaster, entered into rest on June 26, 2016. A son of the late A. Paul and Catherine Holtzapple Sheaffer, he was the loving husband of Jessie L. Harpster Sheaffer. A retired truck driver for Keystone Moving & Storage and Mushroom Transportation, he loved cooking and spending time with family.
Mr. Sheaffer will also be lovingly missed by: four children, Karen married to the late Ray Taylor, Lancaster, Susan married to William Zander, Leola, David and Michael Sheaffer, both Lancaster; four grandsons; two granddaughters; nine great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Thomas and Joseph, both Lancaster, Mary Huber, Covina, CA. A son, John Paul Sheaffer and brothers, Paul, J. Donald, Bruce and Terry preceded him in death.
Funeral services: 11 a.m. Friday, July 1, 2016 at Furman Home for Funerals, 59 W. Main St., Leola. Viewing: 10-11 a.m. Friday. Interment: Riverview Burial Park, Lancaster.
